You may have noticed a new direction with my blog posts lately. I’ve been feeling a little less than inspired to continue just posting outfits. Now don’t get me wrong, I still love styling outfits, shooting outfits and sharing them with you guys but I’ve felt a little less than inspired when doing the posting. I mean you can only say how great a dress is and how it “transitions so well into fall” so many times! If I’m bored with myself I’m sure everyone else is!
I’ve been getting inspired by what I like to read and what makes me click through and check out a blog and lately those have been posts with a little more depth to them. I loved reading my friend Dana from Pink Champagne Problems post on The Importance of a Daily Routine (I sooo needed this post!) and Lacey from The Glitter Gospel’s post on Why Having Friends in the Blogging Community is a Must and I also loved Alicia from Alicia Tenise’s post on her Most Annoying Habit and How She’s Trying to Break It. And I’ve been thinking if I love to read these kinds of posts, I know I’ll love writing them and hopefully you guys will love them too!
Not to mention, after getting such an overwhelming response to my Faster Way to Fat Loss posts and even my recent, How to Push Through a Busy Season of Life post I think you guys like the new direction too! I’ll still be doing outfit posts but I’ve decided to give them a little more purpose which I’m super excited about! It pushes me to get a little more personal, share things that inspire people (outside of outfits and shopping) and hopefully you guys will love the change just as much as I do! It’s definitely been a breath of fresh air to change things up, but it also takes a little more work and a lot more thought. So my new goal for posting is 3x a week. I’m really going to work to start posting Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. I’ll have a few bonus posts in between some weeks but I think this new direction will help me stay focused and start planning ahead!
Change is definitely good and I’m really excited to share some different content over here and love that it pushes me out of my comfort zone to get a little more personal.
On another note this dress is my favorite! I wore this to day 1 of TBSCon which was the break out sessions & networking and it was perfect. It’s comfortable, I felt just dressed up enough and how perfect is it with my red bow heels?! This would also be a great dress for a fall wedding if you have one coming up! It’s lightweight, off the shoulder and perfect for this in between weather we’re currently having!
