Fall Trends To Try When It’s Still 80 Degrees Out

Today I’m back on my local news and we’re talking all about fall. Except it doesn’t really feel like fall around these parts. So my tips today are how to start to incorporate those fall pieces into your outfits when it definitely doesn’t feel like fall. {Watch my segment here!}

Crushed Velvet

We’ve got some of the cutest little crushed velvet pieces at My Kind of Lovely right now that are perfect for fall transitioning! This oversized, cropped top is my current favorite (I honestly wear it once a week!) It’s perfect to wear now with jeans, skirts or even goucho pants, but I’ll also definitely layer it with a kimono over it when it gets a little cooler.

Oversized sweaters

Big oversized sweaters and cardigans are perfect to wear over a tank that way they can be easily taken off when it gets a little too warm. Pro tip: wear them with skirts or even cutoffs for now so that you still the fall sweater look but you’re definitely not roasting in them!

Fall Colors

I do love the jewel tones that come with fall and there are definitely pieces you can find that easily transition without being bulky or heavy. Try a cute striped tank for now, and throw a chunky cardigan or moto jacket over it when it finally gets cooler.

Throw on a Fall Hat

There’s not much I love more than a fall dress with booties and hat! It’s the easiest outfit out there, it’s not too warm and it’s perfect for these in between days!
