This morning I’m back on the news talking about how to transition from a workout to go-out. Whether it’s a post workout date or even just a lunch break workout these are my no fail items to get me refreshed and ready for the next thing on the agenda! Mastering the art of looking and feeling presentable post workout is a must for every girl on the go!
First up, a few beauty items that are always in my bag…
Say Yes to Cucumbers face wipes / Suave Dry Shampoo / Bumble & Bumble hairspray / Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray / No crease Hair Ties / Bobby Pins and Twists / Travel Perfumes (via BirchBox) / Suave Travel Deodorant / Comb / Stella & Dot Scarf
Most of these are for obvious reasons (bobby pins and deodorant) but others are true lifesavers! Dry shampoo absorbs the moisture in your hair and is perfect for getting rid of that sweaty pony tail and the facewipes are great for wiping off sweat from your face, arms, etc.
Next are a few key pieces that are easily transitional. If you’ve seen any of my previous workout posts, you know I love lululemon (see my wunder under transitional posts here and here). Here are a few key items that are super easy to transition…
Gifted Alternative Apparel tote / lululemon stripe tee / Stella & Dot scarf / lululemon CRB / lululemon Wunder Unders / Sam & Libby flats
1. Wunder Unders are not only great workout pants but they double as great leggings. You can swap out your workout top with a longer top or tunic, even a lightweight sweater that’s a perfect outfit for brunch with the girls or for casual post workout plans.
2. I love packing a scarf that can easily dress up a coordinating tank and swap out your workout pants for a pair of cute shorts or a fun skirt. Just be sure to wrap your scarf (like this) for more coverage.
3. A cute transitional tee can act similar to #2, the scarf. You can throw it on top of your workout tank to hide sweat and change into a skirt, shorts or jeans and no one will know you just finished a workout. I’m in love with this soft and flowy one from lululemon.
4. I always make sure to have a pair of cute flats in my bag as well. Even the simplest change like swapping your sneakers with flats can make you look a little more pulled together post workout.
