Since starting my new workout regime I’m all about squeezing in a workout here or there since our workouts can be done at home or at a gym. Especially now since the weather is nice out I LOVE working out outside. And yes, while sweat is gross, I’m not afraid to take my sweaty post workout self out to run errands, out to meet up with some friends or even run back to work for the afternoon or evening. I’ve really been trying to workout in the mornings, but let’s be real, that doesn’t always happen. I’m NOT a morning person so sometimes sleep is more important and sometimes it just ain’t happenin’. If I’ve got a really busy week I’ll let myself do an afternoon workout on Wednesdays. I’m usually at the Knoxville store on Wednesday and have a little break in between before I head to my bible study, so that’s perfect time to squeeze in an afternoon workout. BUT that does mean I’m running to bible study in sweaty clothes. Luckily they love me! So here are a few tips on how I go from work to workout to my next plans efficiently!

Tips for Working Out on The Go

  1. Pack – You can’t get anything done if you don’t plan for it! So I always throw my workout outfit either in my work bag or in a little change of clothes bag. I toss it in the trunk with my yoga mat and dumbells and I’m ready for my afternoon workout! Also, I never forget my water bottle and a post workout snack!
  2. Plan Location – Since I’m not headed to a gym, I do have to plan where I’m working out. There are LOTS of great parks around so when I leave work and hop in my car I need to have a plan of where I’m headed or I’ll just waste that precious time deciding where to go and not getting that workout in! Embarrassingly enough I have used this as an excuse to not work out. Ugh.
  3. Keep Those Sweaty Clothes Fresh – One thing I love to use to keep my clothing and especially my workout clothing smelling fresh is Purex Crystals! Ya’ll. These things smell amazing.
