Repeat Offender: Spring Sweater & Floral Dress

Who doesn’t love repurposing your favorite spring dresses? Once the weather warms up I love finding new ways to wear dresses. And layering is the key to dressing this time of the year! Throwing on a shorter sweater over a flowy skirted dress or a maxi dress is one of my favorite outfits! {See other ways I’ve worn sweaters over dresses here & here} They’re so easy and make for a beyond comfy outfit! Today on my local news station I’m actually sharing this dress and two others and how to wear them as your Easter dress and also how to dress them down into a more casual outfit. So obviously this outfit is definitely making an appearance! {Watch my segment at the end of this post!}

The key to making sure you get a good sweater/dress combo is all about shape! This sweater has a little bit of an oversized, cropped shape which makes it hit just right and leave the perfect amount of dress showing. For the dress portion, it’s important to make sure the skirt isn’t too full making your outfit too overwhelming. The skirt on this dress is straight with a little swing to it which is perfect for layering! Sometimes it takes a few tries to get the pieces perfect but once you find a match you will love!
