I seriously can’t thank you guys enough for all the sweet messages I’ve received on our engagement! It’s such a special and exciting time for us and I feel so lucky to have so many sweet and amazing people in my life to celebrate with!
Our California adventure was nothing short of breathtaking everywhere we looked! This gorgeous open field was just off the interstate and on the back side of our hotel. We might have done a little gate hopping to get the shot, but whatever works right?! The California grass was so green and these little purple flowers were just the perfect touch for these photos. A country girl at heart, these pretty field photos are definitely some of my favorites!
For both days at the stock shows I went for flare jeans, my Jeffrey Campbell booties and my oversized sweater/coat. Super easy outfits that were comfortable and still very “me”. I always like to bring a little personality in with my accessories and the hat, squash blossom and fringe bag bring in just enough western vibes to make this outfit perfectly themed for the event and just my style! I’ll definitely be wearing a few different variations of this outfit all spring long. It’s a good one and one I feel my best in! Gimmie all the cropped flowy off the shoulder tops and flare jeans!
We were done shooting for the day until we saw these gorgeous trees just across the interstate! Come to find out this is an almond farm and these pretty white blooming trees are almond trees! The tree farms in California are so amazing to look at. We definitely don’t have anything like that in Tennessee so they were very interesting for us to learn about while we were there! Not to mention they make for a gorgeous photo!

And just because I need to give a little love to the man behind the camera for these gorgeous photos, I did try and snap some photos of him judging last weekend. I’ve found that taking photos in poorly lit barns and of moving people and animals is freaking hard. I’ve got a lot to learn with my livestock photography! But Jared did a great job judging the hog show on Saturday and the sheep & goats on Sunday. I also still have a lot to learn on what makes a good hog, but here’s a little peek at what we were actually doing in California!
