How To Maximize Productivity

Happy Tuesday! Yesterday was the Monday-est Monday for me. Anyone else? I have a short work week this week and am super excited about it but it’s aways a struggle cramming that much work into so few days! Eek! And yesterday was a go-go-go day from the moment I woke up hit snooze one too many times and woke up late. It was just one of those days. But I’m determined to make the rest of the week a productive one! So as I’m getting myself ready for a productive Tuesday I thought I would share some tips on how I make the most of my days where I really need to max out the productivity. *I’d also like to note, I’ve been a slacker lately. I’ve not been on my A game, but I’m determined to get out of this little rut I’m in!*

Wake Up Early

I know if I was a morning person I would be the most successful version of myself. I often times say I would literally PAY to be a morning person because I’m very far from that. So tomorrow, I’m getting up early. I do have an early meeting and need to be up earlier than usual, so I’m going to force myself to get up at an appropriate time and get going without rushing out the door per the usual.

Start The Day With Something Inspirational

I’ve found that when I listen to a podcast or an inspirational message in the morning on my way to work I’m inspired and motivated to get to work. It puts me in a good mood and really motivates me. I’m going to try to start listening to more podcasts when I’m getting ready in the morning that way I’m pumped up and ready to get to work! (The Goal Digger podcast is my favorite right now.)

Have Your Day Planned Out

When there are any extra to-do’s, Target runs, mail drop offs, or things that are easy to forget to do, I always try to work them into my day. Tomorrow I have a busy day and few extra errands to run so I’m making a note today when and how those extras are getting done. Even if that is setting a reminder in my phone at a specific time! I always have to schedule my workout in there too. Yesterday I didn’t get mine in, but today, it’s in my calendar, so it’s getting done!

Make a Thorough To Do List

I know, I know, a to-do list isn’t groundbreaking. But on days when I have a lot to do, I literally write down every little task that comes to mind. I so often forget to do the little things and then they all just add up so quick! Or something gets “off” and it’s because of that one thing I forgot to write down or do. So a thorough to-do list that I’m constantly looking at all day always helps me stay on task.

Give Deadlines During the Day

My best work is done on a deadline. So when I give myself one hour to complete a task then it’s time to move on, I seriously get it done. Otherwise it might have taken me 3 hours! Deadlines make or break my productivity some days.
