Southern Charm: Gingham & White Flares

Lacey & I went to Hewitt Garden Center in Franklin and ended up taking a few different outfit shots here because the place was pure perfection! Lacey also loaded up on cute little cacti while we were there and it really got me wishing I had some lil house plants of my own! Jared and I bought ferns for the front porch last weekend, which I’m afraid is already almost more of a commitment than we can handle since we’re never home. But definitely a nice starting point for summer, right?

I also can’t tell you how much I love both pieces in this outfit! Spring definitely brings the southern girl out in me and I just love it. This gingham off the shoulder top is SO fun right?! I just love the sleeves! And one of our models asked if it would be cute to tie it up in some of the photos and I loved it even more once she did that! How stinkin’ cute right?! (We’re currently sold out of the navy but will be re-stocking soon and just have a few left in the red version – also super cute!) I snagged these Hudson jeans at Statemint this spring for a whoppin’ $15! Such a steal! But if you’re dying for these jeans, I found them for under $100! They’re on sale at Nordstrom!

I’m also working on a recap of Trending Fest that I hope to post on Friday! If you missed it on instagram, I spoke on a panel of bloggers in Knoxville recently and shared all about blogging and branding. We covered a lot of different aspects of blogging but one that Lacey and I both touched on was, batch working and finding a blogger bestie! These photos we shot at the same time as these. But I’ve held onto them and have spread out my posting of them so that they weren’t two things back to back. I can still reference this post since they’re not new on your mind, and you might just want to read my post all about “What to Do With Inspiration“!

Over the past year I’ve really learned the importance of working ahead. Batching out taking my photos prevents me from taking photos the morning of a post, the day before a post, etc. This lets me knock out some photos that I can spread out over the upcoming weeks. It also allows me plan out my content calendar around my shoots and fill in as needed. If ya’ll are interested in any blogging specific topics, let me know! I’d love to share more about my blogging journey over the past few years and help ya’ll in any way I can!
