Yep, you read that right! My July goal is to HAVE FUN!
I’ll be the first to admit I don’t often really take time for FUN. Like time off, a weekend off, a Sunday off, etc. It’s not that I hate fun, it’s just that I actually enjoy my work and even enjoy being productive. And no I don’t mean I work 24-7, I just mean I don’t always choose fun. If I do have a day “off” I tend to fill it with to-do’s or blog work or errands. But life isn’t about to-do lists, being productive and getting things done.
How I’m Planning for More Fun!
This July I plan to really maximize my fun. After June’s goal of budgeting, I’ve been saving my money and have my July finances all already planned out with some fun spending in there. And April’s goal has really helped me be more productive on a daily basis so that I can get ahead and really take time off and ENJOY the summer! (Not worry about work while I’m having fun!) If I need to take a night and hang with the girls, I can go! If I need to take a few random days off to spend with Jared, I can do that! And you betta believe I’m going to be marking off quite a few things from the summer bucket list this month! I’m so excited about July!
Jared & I are headed to the beach for a few days, and while I have a busy two weeks coming up, I also have a few weeks with not much planned which is also exciting! So instead of leaving those days and weekends blank I am going to plan a few fun Nashville activities for Jared and me! Just having a reminder to go do something fun, versus filling that time with a to-do will be the perfect summer project!
Don’t get me wrong. I still have a lot of work to get done this month, we’re planning for a big August at My Kind of Lovely and I still plan to really work on and focus on my consistency posting here! But I swear what I’ve learned from really implementing batch working this year, my days and weeks have been much more productive!
So, ya’ll tell me, is it silly to plan for fun?! Or are ya’ll like me and need to do it to make sure it happens?!
Now Let’s Talk The Banana Print Dress….
I mean, how perfect is this banana print dress for all my summer fun! This cutie will definitely be going to the beach with me! It’s a new arrival at My Kind of Lovely and I am in LOVE! It does run on the narrow side, so I’d suggest sizing up if you want it to fit more like it does on me. I’m in the medium! Also, Caroline got me one of these ah-dorable bags after I told her you can snag them on amazon! I do hate when brands get knocked off, but I just didn’t want to spend the Cult Gaia price for such a trendy bag. Regardless, they are a fun piece for summer so if you’d rather spend under $50 for one, I’d definitely suggest the amazon one!
