Mix it Up

This particular day last week it was freezing! I’m pretty sure my fingers and nose were frozen and red after the 10 minutes it took to take these pictures and earlier this week the high was 65 degrees.  What the heck? I’m not very good at planning/checking the weather so I tend to be over, under or inappropriately dressed half of the time.  I do however try to keep a few key layering pieces easily accessible on my walk out the door to be reminded that it might be cold out there despite the T-shirt weather that was here yesterday.

For this outfit my original idea was the pixie pants with the sweater but thought a fun pop of purple in my feet would be fun (not thinking that I needed the extra layer). A color addict like myself wanted some more purple so I threw the earrings on and grabbed the scarf just in case.  As I was walking out the door I grabbed my go-to jacket and I was off.  A completely mixed outfit and I just loved how it turned out.  Sometimes I plan outfits in my head and they’re a complete bust and other times I throw random crap on and like how it looks.

On another note — this Old Navy sweater is awesome! I $25 and they have it in all different colors! I originally got this color in anticipation for spring (and another outfit I have up my sleeve) but I’m thinking of going back to get more! Great longer length and not itchy – scratchy like a lot of sweaters.  Go Buy Now!
