Repeat Offender: Vintage Hi Rise Jeans & Camo

Ok who doesn’t love a good pair of jeans?! They’re so hard to find, right?! Well I’ve been seeing more and more people sporting American Eagle jeans again and while I was skeptical, I decided to give em a try. I’m pretty sure I haven’t bought a pair of AE jeans since high school! I found this pair of “Vintage Hi Rise Jeans” which seemed right up my alley (they were also on sale! 40 bucks – yes please!) I actually ordered them in two different washes and of course both fit completely different – don’t ya hate that?! I decided to keep the dark wash and last minute chose to feature these as my Repeat Offender piece this month. As I start wearing them with more and more I’ll keep ya’ll posted on likes and dislikes and what I’m wearing them with!

Week 1 Verdict: So far I love the high rise. They’re pretty high and stay in place all day long. Seriously what more could you want?! I like to do a little tee tuck sometimes with my high rise jeans and these are perfect for that. They’re a great dark wash and I like the distressing, not too much, not too little, and they have a button fly which I’m pretty indifferent to. I didn’t love the straight leg shape and the jury’s still out on that. I don’t think it’s the most flattering on me, but I think the more I wear them the more I like it.

As far as today’s outfit goes, I’ve been pretty basic this week. As this post goes up, I’ll be heading into surgery to get my wisdom teeth removed. (ugh) So I’ve been all over the place this week trying to prepare to be out all weekend. Not to mention the temps have dropped back down to the 40’s so jackets, layers and easy, comfortable things have come back out! Distressed denim and camo is an easy go-to combo and this time I just added a little pop of spring with this adorable bag! (You can see my fall version on this go-to outfit here)
