Happy Friday! Jared and I are back from the beach and we had the best time! I’m already planning for the next trip! I feel like this may be the unpopular opinion but over the past few years a vacation has seemed too much like a real luxury to me. With a growing small business I feel that spending a week of my time and a whole lotta money on a vacation seems almost irresponsible or at least unnecessary. But after going on this quick little beach trip I’m realizing how far off that is. Vacations clear your mind, can inspire you and give you a much needed break. As soon as we got back I started a vacation savings account and every time I get burnt out or feel like I’m needing a vacation I’ll put a little more money in it and day dream about our next trip! ha!
It’s so easy to look at other’s travels and think, “must be nice.” But it’s all in your priorities and I’m realizing how I’ve put traveling pretty low on my priority list lately. Just like everything else these days, I’m going to set some travel goals for this next year and make them happen! I’m so excited about it! I think as long as you plan appropriately for vacation, it’s totally doable for anyone. But you have to make that planning a priority, which is also hard!
So, I’d love to hear, how do ya’ll save/budget for vacation?! Do you make it a priority?
On another note, going on vacation during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale made me even more un-interested in the sale. Ha! I’m so not ready for fall and now all I want is to spend my money on vacation and not on fall clothes! Ha! But I am finally going to shop the sale today. I may pick up some shoes (obsessed with these!) and jeans but I probably won’t do too much damage. What did ya’ll shop at the sale?! Let me know your favorites if you have them! And if you’re a blogger that follows, leave me your posts in the comments! I need some good roundup posts to shop!
