I’m a firm believer in finding something really fun to add to your closet that you might not normally reach for. Whether that’s something out of your color wheel, something fancier than you would normally wear or just something really fun that you LOVE! Enter this super extra, pink, shaggy cardigan! It’s definitely a statement piece but for real how fun?! It can be such a fun, festive holiday piece if you’re like me and love to wear pink. Pair it with some red for a cool color combo, throw it over a LBD or dress it down like I did here and put it over a Christmas tee and jeans. There are so many options even though it does seem a little intimidating when you see it hanging on the rack! I wore it over a christmas tee and jeans for our opening night of our MKL holiday open house and everyone loved it on so much that we sold out that night! People of all ages were trying it on, loving it and buying it.
How You Can Be Fabulous, Fun & Festive this Holiday Season
It’s all about confidence and what makes you feel fabulous. You don’t have to love this or feel fabulous in this, but I just want to encourage everyone to break out those fabulous, fun pieces that you LOVE this Christmas! Don’t hold back, don’t wear what you think you’re “supposed” to wear, have some fun this holiday season! Don’t really know how? Here are 3 ways you can wear that fun piece!
- If it feels too dressy, dress it down. Pair a sequin top with jeans or a pair of sparkly shoes with a more casual sweater or a festive tee. Find ways to mix and match! Literally anything can be dressed down!
- If it’s uncomfortable, don’t pair it with something else uncomfortable! I have a skirt that I LOVE but it’s not the most comfortable thing to wear. I’m never going to pair it with something equally uncomfortable otherwise I’ll be miserable! So I wear it with a tee and comfy shoes so I’m a lot less uncomfortable and almost forget about the skirt! Same goes with shoes! If your favorite sequin shoes are uncomfortable, don’t pair them with anything else that makes you feel uncomfortable.
- If you’re afraid what people will say, give yourself a pep talk! Seriously, if you’re afraid to wear the standout pink shaggy cardigan to your work Chrstimas party because people might call you out for wearing a standout pink shaggy cardigan, have your response already lined up, give yourself a pep talk, I love it, I love me, I am confident, and head out the door. Chances are people are going to love it and love you even more for wearing it and if you’re confident when you’re wearing it? Even better, knock em dead girl, you fab!
