How is it almost freaking August?! This year has been WILD. Like I really can’t wrap my brain around around the fact that in March all of this craziness happened and we’re still living in it and it’s almost August. Life has definitely kept on, but it’s been a wild few months. As I was looking forward to the rest of the year I thought it’d be fun to look back on my personal goals that I set for 2020 and see how I was doing, even with the crazy year we’ve had!
I’d totally encourage you to do the same too! What personal goals did you set for 2020? How are you doing on them?! And more importantly, how could you do better?! I think most of us probably set goals at the beginning of the year and when summer rolls around you’ve totally forgotten about some of them! So here’s a little hope that you’re not alone in that, but there’s still plenty of time to make them happen! So, here’s an update of how mine are going!

I’ve tried, but haven’t been consistent. I don’t think I’m a yoga all the time person, but I’ve been loving doing it for my low intensity workouts some weeks!

CUT BACK ON IMPULSE BUYING
I have definitely been much better at this, this year!! I literally was just about to hit purchase on this tee on Amazon this weekend and was like no- you literally do not need another graphic tee!! And I didn’t buy ha! My thought was, I really want to be more intentional about the clothing in my closet, the products I use and buy, the things in my house, etc. And I’m definitely standing by that. No more mindless target, amazon, rando purchases. Buying with intention.
PAY OFF ALL PERSONAL DEBT BY SUMMER
I’m actually so close to this! Wahoo! I was maybe a little ambitious to have it all paid off by summer, but BEFORE the end of the year for sure!
GRAB COFFEE WITH FRIENDS MORE
Welp, COVID kinda messed this one up. I miss my friends. But this was a good reminder that I do need to plan some more fun things with my friends soon!
We’re definitely working through these! So far the living room is actually very close to being done! So I’ll do a full living room before and after here soon! We have more to do, but they may not be before the end of the year – some other life things have happened that have put a pause on moving more quickly but we’re excited to almost have the living room complete!
TRAVEL TO 5 PLACES I’VE NEVER BEEN BEFORE
Ugh, I miss traveling. We’re being very careful and cautious right now for our families sake, so doing a lot of traveling just really isn’t worth it to us, but we are going to try to sneak in a late August beach trip!
TAKE JARED ON A SURPRISE WEEKEND TRIP
Again, this hasn’t happened either, but I do still want to surprise him with a trip or something fun very soon. This past month has honestly been a rollercoaster of crazy things happening but I may just sneak in and surprise him with something fun very soon!
SET MONTHLY INTENTIONS EVERY MONTH
Man, I definitely have slacked on this one! But I’ve started it back up and will definitely keep these up through the rest of the year! I seriously love setting these so I’m super excited to tackle them again!
HAVE FUN IN NASHVILLE ONCE A MONTH
Welp, again, ha! Nashville is a hot spot for COVID so I’ve hardly been into Nashville since March!! Which is CRAZY!!! I definitely miss it but again, not much we can do there.
EXPLORE MORE OF TENNESSEE
The travel plans I had are pretty sad to see since we really have been home way more than we ever have, but this is fun reminder that we could still explore outdoors more. So I’m definitely going to make this an end of summer plan. Kayaking, hiking, adventuring, etc, close to home!

Eeek! I’m really running for a paid for Cadillac with Monat, which is crazy! I’m actually really excited about it! I’m going for it by the end of the year!
BECOME A DIRECTOR IN MONAT
This one is still scary, but if you don’t go for the big goals, you’ll never hit them! I’m also running for a big goal with Monat to become a director. This may not be a 2020 goal that I hit, but it is definitely one that my sights are set on! Run for it as fast as I can!
So we still have 5 months of 2020 left and I’m committed to making them the best 5 months! I am PUMPED for all the fun, amazing, goal crushing things that are still available for us this year! Are you still running for your big, scary goals?! Let’s run together!
