Fall is here, but in Tennessee it’s still 90 degrees outside! Sooo we’re basically dying wearing our fall clothes! I’ve been slowly transitioning into my fall wardrobe but still have some solid summer staples on repeat. I thought it would be fun to round up a few of my summer staple items that I’m still wearing and will still be wearing well into fall this year!
Summer Staples I’ll Be Wearing All Fall
Denim Shorts
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again! Denim shorts are a lifesaver for me! They’re a closet staple and I love wearing them when the weather’s still warm. Adidas Sneakers
I started wearing my adidas superstars a TON this summer! I was shooting a lot for My Kind of Lovely and working on some other projects and when I’m outside in the heat and moving around a lot I’m just most comfortable in tennis shoes rather than sandals. So these were my go-to and I’ve loved them so much I’ll definitely still be transitioning into fall with these bad boys!

White Jeans
White after labor day? Whaat?! I love a good sweater paired with some white jeans! Sweaters, button downs, jackets and long sleeves still look great with white jeans for fall. Think fall fabrics and colors and you’re good to go! These white flares will definitely be making a couple appearances this fall!

Button Front Knit Top
These tops were everywhere last fall and I even wore mine throughout the summer! It was so cute with shorts and sneakers! Lately I’m loving wearing it un buttoned as a little cardigan for fall! Denim Jackets
My go to! You can never have enough denim jackets! They’re perfect for this warm weather we’re having right now. Throw them over a more summer-y outfit to make it a little more fall.

Kimonos
Kimonos are a year around staple for me. I wore mine to the beach this summer and I’ll layer em up and wear them in the fall and winter too! This one from Show Me Your Mumu is an old favorite but I’ll link some others at different price points below! We also just got this snakeskin one in at My Kind of Lovely and I’m OBSESSED!

Lightweight Tanks
A great, lightweight tank is also a year around staple. As you can see I’m wearing my fav olive green one with two of the outfits just in this post! I wear them in the summer with cutoffs and layer them for fall and winter under cardigans and jackets. If you don’t have a few different layering tanks, Old Navy’s are the best and they’re so affordable! This one is currently on sale for $8.50, so I’d suggest waiting on a sale and stocking up on them! They’re the perfect solution for those times that you’re like ah that’s so cute, but what do I wear under it?!
