I’ve always kind of scoffed at Valentine’s day as being way too cheezeball for me. The red roses, chocolates and balloons are just a little silly to be quite honest. But over the years and as I’ve gotten older I’ve come to really love it! I love how it’s evolved into something much more than red roses and balloons and how celebrating your Galentine is just as popular as celebrating with your guy and even done by the married and taken girls as well! Celebrating your girls is just as important as celebrating your man, right?! Since this Valentine’s Day falls on a Wednesday I’ll probably be celebrating with my girls instead of Jared anyway! He and I can celebrate over the weekend and it will be just as nice!
So today we’re chatting Galentines! Lacey and I decided to team up for a fun little Galentine shoot and today we’re both sharing how we celebrate friendship! I seriously couldn’t do life without my girlfriends. And I know I don’t celebrate them enough. So we decided Galentine’s Day was the perfect time to stop and celebrate those awesome girls in your life and their friendship! Obviously it can get pretty expensive if we’re talkin’ sending gifts to all our friends this Valentine’s Day but there are lots of other non-gifting ways you can celebrate friendship. And super inexpensive gifts you can send to girls! It just takes a little extra time and some love!
How To Celebrate Your Friends This Valentine’s Day!
- Send a Real Valentine! You could even include a fun little date card in there for her to fill out and send back to you! A workout class date, coffee date, happy hour date, shopping date, etc! There are so many fun ways to make a plan to get together!
- Host a Galentine’s Night! Have friends over, pop some bubbles, order pizza and watch a rom com. Seriously the best way to spend a girls night in! Grab some festive cups, straws and decor and you have the perfect, very inexpensive celebration! *Also, don’t forget your out of town girls! Facetime them in for a fun catch up sesh while everyone’s together!
- Surprise a friend! For your local girls drop into their work with their favorite coffee, stop by their house on your way home with a bottle of wine or just leave them a sweet Valentine note on their car. The tiniest, thoughtful gifts always mean the most to me!
- Gifts! Did you miss a birthday? A job promotion celebration? An engagement party or just never gave her that engagement gift? (Don’t worry, we all do it!) Grab a super cute little Valentine and make it a combo gift! A belated birthday/Valentine’s combo! Or a congrats! I’m so proud of you Valentine! Such a fun way to give a little extra and catch up on your gifting (and maybe make it a little less embarrassing! ha!)
How are you celebrating Galentine’s? And how do you celebrate friendship?! I’d love to hear your ideas!
