Heart Happy

Sometimes there are just things that you come across that just make you happy.  People who get you, songs that speak to you, a pair of shoes that give you heart emoji eyes or even watching your favorite movie for the 100th time, there are just some things that make us happy. I’m going to be trying out a few new post ideas around here and am pretty excited to kick off this little Friday series! It’s probably going to end up being a really random compilation of things making me happy that week. Today’s Heart Happy-s are a few of my favorite articles, what I’m currently shopping and thoughts about the holidays!!

Reading:

• The Refinery 29 article, “I Have 4 Jobs – Is This The New Normal?” is so spot on. Because I too, have 4 jobs. I don’t want it to be my normal but it’s reality. The hustle is real my friends.
• Lyndsay Rush kills it with another Everygirl article. This time it’s the 7 Upsides of Dating, because yes, sometimes we need to be reminded that it’s not as bad or painful as it seems. I particularly love #5 and #7. I’ve got some really good stories and could probably entertain a crowd with some of the sh*t these dudes say. (Follow on twitter for the occasional quote! ;))
• While on the topic of dating I also love this advice from A Cup of Jo. As girls we always think too much into things when it’s really quite simple. Either they like you or they don’t. Duh.

Shopping:

• Just snagged these over the knee boots from Piperlime and can’t wait to wear them!
• ASOS is running their Shop and Save Promo! So now’s a great time to pick up some winter pieces. I’m thinking this coat is a must? Pink & Plaid? Yup, a must!
• Already in love with Kate Spade’s new coffee table book *adds to Christmas wishlist*
• I’m still shopping and gathering prints for my gallery wall – if you have any favorite shops or prints I should check out send em my way!

Holiday: 

• If you’re a blogger, Julie’s tips for planning your holiday blog schedule are fab! Definitely going to be helping me make it through the Holidays! Gift guides and holiday collabs here we come!
• For My Kind of Lovely we’re currently at our very first trade show and we’re also shooting our first “lookbook” for the holidays next week so we’ve been knee deep in holiday inspiration! Creativity overload!
