Heart Happy: Vol 15

Who can believe it’s already the first week of June?! I sure can’t! I will say I’m pretty excited about all the fun I have planned for the month, it’s just coming so fast!

I typically try to keep my heart happy posts all about the happy and while I’m super happy about a lot I will have to say this week has been tougher than most. But all around I really have nothing to complain about it’s just been one of those weird weeks. Mercury is in retrograde ya know? Don’t worry though, we’ve just gotta make it through June 11! 😉

And now that I’m thinking about it, aside from the occasional pain that comes with owning instead of renting your home (and dealing with plumbers, insurance agents, adjustors, bossy neighbors and guys ripping out floors) this week hasn’t been too bad at all but I’m definitely happy to see Friday!

Sooo, this week what I’m happy about is….

Cleaning out my closet! I’m pretty good at getting rid of stuff and selling on Poshmark but lately I’ve just been in a funk with all my old clothes. I feel like this transition period of working for yourself and owning a boutique has almost put me in a personal style crisis! No more pencil skirts and no need to hang onto some of those old dresses and things I used to always say, “well I can always wear that to work.” So I’ve reached a whole new level of closet clean out. I literally just want an entire new wardrobe so I’m selling So. Much. Stuff! And it feels pretty dang good to get rid of it all! So, for all you local girls, My Kind of Lovely is hosting a closet clean out event Saturday morning from 7-1 and I’ve literally cleaned out SO MUCH from my closet (get updates here)! Non local girls make sure you’re following on Poshmark. Scoop some things up before they sell tomorrow morning and I’ll also be adding what doesn’t sell this weekend.

With that, I’m off to celebrate National Donut Day at the shop and get to pricing and tagging allll that stuff! Happy Friday!

(Oh, and just in case you’re wondering…the first thing I’ll be purchasing with that yard sale cash is my favorite from this post. Can’t. Wait!)
