This week’s heart happy is all about this little space I love so much. Wednesday actually marked 4 years since I’ve been blogging and chronicling my outfits and love for all things style, fashion and shopping. And while I’ve loved everything about it, learning the blogosphere, building a brand, meeting new people, trying out new trends and sharing about them along the way I’ve realized I definitely have gotten myself into a blogging rut. Sharing the same things over and over again and just barely switching things up. While I’m not saying I’m going to stop sharing outfit posts on the reg I do think it’s time to start sharing a little more about me and not just what I’m wearing and where I’m shopping. A lot has changed over the past year and I’ve felt a little tied down to my blog and my “brand” in feeling like what I should and shouldn’t share but lately I’ve realized it’s all in my head. That constricted feeling left me uninspired and feeling like my creativity and voice were lost in the mix. And the reality of it all is I’m not doing this to do what everyone else is doing, I’m doing it to do what I’m doing! Share what I like, when I like and how I like! Sometimes brands, people and blogs change and that’s ok. Usually it’s for the best anyway!
So with all that said I’m really excited to start incorporating some new content over here! Think more behind the scenes things, a little more about daily life for me as the blogger at Pearls & Twirls and as co-owner of My Kind of Lovely. And lastly, something that I’ve gotten a lot of emails about, some tips and tricks of blogging! I’m super excited to start working on some new stuff for you guys and I hope you’re just as excited too! If there’s anything else you’d love to see around here please feel free to leave suggestions in the comments, tweet me, Facebook me or email me (pearlsandtwirlsblog@gmail.com)! I’d love to hear your thoughts!
And Cheers to 4 years of Pearls & Twirls and cheers to 4 more! Xo!
Happy blog anniversary!
Happy Anniversary! I think it’s only natural for blogs to grow and change- just like people! Looking forward to your “evolution” 🙂 Now pop some bubbly and celebrate!!
