Happy Birthday to my sweet Romeo! I can’t believe my little guy turned 9 last week! 9 whole years (well almost) with this little snuggly fluff ball and I couldn’t love him more! There is just something about coming home to a smiling pup everyday that, regardless of what happened that day, will always put a smile on your face!

Make Sure He’s Eating Well
I’ve tried a lot of different foods with him over the years, but Purina® Beneful® Grain Free is one I’ve really seen working. He seems to love it, it’s affordable and is made with good ingredients. Keeping Up With His Vet Checkups & Staying on Top of His Flea, Tick & Heartworm Medicines
One thing I’m not so great at is staying on top of my own doctor check ins, much less my dogs! But I did take Romeo in for his yearly checkup and to get up to date on is vaccines so we should be good to go for the rest of the year. If you haven’t taken your dog in, this is your friendly reminder to do so!
Exercise
Since he’s getting older, he’s a little slower and a little more lazy. I do try to make sure he’s getting out and about and let him explore as much as possible, and I try to be sure and play tug of war whenever he wants to be sure he’s getting as much exercise in as possible. We took him kayaking last weekend and it was the best decision ever! He had the best time!
