Repeat Offender: Grunge Summer Dress

This dress is baaaaack! And I’m trying out a totally different look this go around! I’m definitely more of a grunge type girl in the fall and winter but my style totally turns sweet in the spring and summer. I very rarely pull out the booties or more grungy pieces for summer but it’s a fun look every now and again! Not to mention this dress is a great one to add a little edge to. This outfit would be a perfect music festival outfit or fun summer outdoor outing when you’re in the grass or dirt.  Sometimes booties are actually the perfect summer shoe and I very rarely reach for mine. Styling this dress differently was a great reminder that I need to switch things up sometimes! The grungy look is still just as fun in the summer time! (See looks #1 & #2 in this dress here!)

I also have a pretty funny story about these braids. My girl, Miss Tara Belle is always rocking a good french braid and always looks so dang cool! I know how to french braid but never thought I would actually like this look on me or that I could braid good enough to be photo worthy. But I’ve been doing a 1 french braid straight back for my workouts because I feel like it prolongs the life of my hair. With a pony it’s pulled tight and gets pretty sweaty but a loose braid keeps it totally out of my face but it’s not pulled tight so it doesn’t get sweaty. Not to mention no ponytail creases! New fav workout hairstyle for sure! Anyway, I just tried two braids one morning and am kinda loving them?! They take me back to middle school but hey, the 90’s are calling and I’m totally fine with that! Not to mention they’re the perfect grungy touch to this outfit!
