Coming Up Roses

Happy 2017! I’m not really one to make a lot of resolutions but I definitely do have a short list of things I want to work on in 2017 and I couldn’t be more excited about this new year! 2016 was a great one. I worked hard, loved big and learned so much about myself. I also think closing the door on my 20’s and turning the big 3-0 this year also makes me really crave getting my sh*t together, if ya know what I mean?!

So here’s a little peek into what I’m working on for 2017…

Me Time: When you’re a business owner your business becomes you. You eat, sleep and breathe the business and often times put bettering the business on top of everything else. I haven’t balanced that well over the past few years and really want to focus on that this year. Taking 15 minutes of quiet time in the mornings, eating healthy and at normal hours of the day, going to bed at a decent hour, and getting that recommended daily excersise in.

Go: Get out, travel, see, explore, adventure, go. I love doing these things but lately I’ve had a hard time getting away. This year I want to push myself to do these things. To plan for them, save for them, and just go. And most of all not feel guilty for going.

Simplify: 2016 was a year on the go. I probably didn’t lay my head down in the same bed for more than 5 days at a time any given week last year. My home is an hour from my business and my boyfriend lives 2.5 hours from my home. I live out of bags for all that running back and forth and it’s been super eye opening what I actually need and use on a daily basis. I have so. much. stuff. So much unnecessary stuff! It’s time to simplify.

So Cheers to 2017! I can’t wait to see what this year brings!
