Repeat Offender: Dress As A Top

Dress Tucked Into A Denim Skirt

Happy hump day! I hope everyone had a more than fabulous 4th of July! We celebrated for 4 days straight and had the best time! That’s also the reason this post is about 4 days late getting posted. Eek! So sorry about that! Last week was one of those weeks where it felt like I was about 5 steps behind all week. I wasn’t prepared, I was scrambling and, well, even this post got behind! The holiday weekend off was much needed and today I’m feeling rested and ready for a big week! I’m excited to get back on track with my eating and workouts and have some fun post ideas and outfits to show you guys here! Wahoo! But until then, back to the outfit.

For our final outfit of the June Repeat Offender Series I styled this dress tucked into a denim skirt. This denim skirt is one of my favorites because it goes with EVERYTHING! I’ve been on the hunt for some other similar, versatile skirts because they’re seriously so easy to wear. Even paired with a dress! For this look, I boho-ed it up just a little with my chunky sandals and my newest straw hat. And this might be my favorite look from the series!  And the best part? My Kind of Lovely is having a 50% off Sale for the 5th today!! So you can shop this dress for only $21 today only!! Code: FIFTYFORTHEFIFTH Now that you have 4 different ways to style this dress, you totally need to add it to your closet for that price!

And finally, I just have to point out to you guys the last time I wore this skirt. Ya’ll know I’m obsessed with the Faster Way to Fat loss but when you look back at how your clothes used to fit, it’s a huge eye opener to see how far you’ve come. I know I feel great, have lost weight and feel better in my clothes but I’ve had this skirt for a few years and I very much remember the last time I wore it. I cringed putting it on because I knew it was going to be tight. But it made for the perfect outfit so I sucked it up. In these photos I even had to put my arm over my waist in most of them because that top button was bulging and it looked like crap. (See my last outfit post in the skirt here) I loved the outfit but felt terrible in the skirt.

Today, it fits like it should and I even have a little wiggle room. It’s comfortable and I don’t feel like I need to be sucking in all the time. But I do cringe looking back at these photos! Not necessarily at how I looked (I think we should love our bodies at all sizes) but at how I felt that day. I felt bloated, fat, gross and self conscious. I’m so happy I’ve found a new lifestyle where I can focus on myself a little bit each day to feel and look my best!

If you’re interested in joining me for the next round of the Faster Way To Fat Loss it begins July 10!! If you want to read more you can see all my posts here, and my before and after photos here! Send me any questions you might have! You can sign up here!
