When you’re in your 20’s throwing and going to bridal showers almost becomes a way of life! After throwing my fair share they’ve become easier and I’ve learned tricks and easy hacks for throwing the perfect shower. (See other showers I’ve shared here.) Caroline and I recently threw a shower for one of our My Kind of Lovely models, Hannah, and even though it was a small shower for close girl friends and MKL girls we still gave it some fun touches and made it such a fun day!
We splurged on inexpensive flowers for everyone to make flower crowns upon their arrival. It gave everyone something to do when they got there and was a super fun little project for everyone. Not to mention everyone loves a flower crown!
If you’ve never made a flower crown, they’re much easier than they seem. Grab some pretty flowers and don’t forget a little greenery, floral wire and get creative! It’s best to use this kind of wire for the base (around your head) and then thin, lightweight wire to attach the flowers to the base wire. They’re fairly simple and it was so fun to see how everyone’s turned out!
We also served the fun little Sofia champagne cans with My Kind of Lovely bracelets as our favors. With lots of mimosas served during the shower of course.
After throwing lots of showers, we’ve found that the food is important, but really almost always is under appreciated so we’ve learned to go super simple on the food. It’s less of a headache and hurts a little less when there’s lots of left overs! Ha! This time we just picked up some chicken minis from Chick-fil-a, baked scones and banana bread, cut up some fruit and put a big focus on the cute little donut cake.
Any good bridal shower tips or tricks you’ve learned along the way?!
