Whether you’re in school or not I think we all feel the back to school vibes around this time of year. Everyone’s buying their new agendas, getting organized and feeling excited about the pre fall festivities that are about to kick off. Today I’m back on the local news and sharing all about back to school outfit ideas, shopping and closet musts! (Watch my segment here!)
So here are my top 5 “Back To School” items for teachers, students or just us regular workin’ girls.
I love my denim jackets and they’re the first thing I grab when I need a layer to cover my arms or if I’m going to be stuck in a cold building all day! Teachers & business professional ladies – if you need something a little less casual try for a lightweight blazer. I love this pink linen one!
Silk Shirts & Button Downs:
Nice silk shirts and button down are an easy outfit piece that can be worn with almost anything! Tucked into a pencil skirt to be dressed up for the teachers or with a pair of distressed skinny jeans for the students. I love J.Crew Factory, Gap & Old Navy for affordable and quality tops.
Long, Flowy Dresses:
Dresses are so easily dressed up or dressed down that the right ones can work for anyone! The black one I wore here yesterday could easily be worn with a denim jacket or a blazer!
I have a serious obsession with my new Old Navy soft pants and I’m certain they are the perfect pants for everyone! They’re so easily dressed up with a nice silk blouse or dressed down with an oversized tank like I did last week!
Just like lightweight jackets kimonos are so easy to add an extra layer. Find a fun one that will go with different neutrals and the styling opportunities are endless! You can wear over dresses, jeans, black pants, and even shorts.
